Everyone seeks to become the best version of themselves, but few go through with it. We are our own worst enemies when it comes to chasing our dreams and living a life that’s filled with passion and meaning.
Start From The Beginning
You don’t just to stumble upon the best version of yourself by accident. You need to start from the beginning and take several baby steps to become what you visualized.
Stop Fearing Failure
If you are often worried about what people think about you or think that you are failing to accomplish the future and the desired lifestyle that you seek, then you are likely suffering from fear of failure. It is very important to realize that failure is a natural part of life and doesn’t mean the end of the world.
Failure is important because that’s when valuable insights are learned that can encourage you to become highly successful in life.
Overcome your fears by analyzing all potential outcomes, practice positive thinking, get plenty of sleep, have a worst-case scenario to ease your worries, and work on setting goals.
Teach Your Brain
Your brain is what controls everything you do. When you negatively judge yourself about how you look, you don’t think you’re capable of achieving the goal, or you don’t think you are pretty, slim, or good enough for your dream partner, it’s probably just your brain talking.
Try and cut out the negative self-talk out of your life. Flip the negative, judging, mean, and pessimistic switch off and turn on your positivity and optimism.
If you repeat an activity, a saying, or a song enough times, you will memorize it and it will grow into the part of your memory. That same repetition is needed to change bad habits and improve your self-talk.
Whatever it is that you put yourself down, reverse it and speak and repeat the positive thoughts to yourself. Over and over. Regularly tell yourself that you are capable of accomplishing a challenging your goals. Don’t cut yourself any slack. You deserve the world to see you and the world deserves you at your full potential. Don’t strive for anything less than the best version of yourself.
Change your Habits
Successful people recognize the absolute importance of habits in their lives. They don’t let their habits be a blend of the social and physical environment. They are consciously working on avoiding and letting go of bad habits and developing good ones.
For example, if you are a smoker try something less bad for you that will eventually lead you to stop smoking. A popular thing to ease off yourself of smoking is transitioning to vapes. Vapes still get you the the taste of a cigarette, but this way it is less harmful to your body. Another thing you can change is the bad habit of eating junk food. Limit yourself to having junk food only once a week, and you will start feeling much better about yourself.
Have Balance
Just like everything in life, all things should be taken in moderation. Don’t become too consumed and invest all of your time into just one thing. Over time, you won’t have any balance, and you may lose relationships and connections with people. Keep in touch with people you love and spend quality time with them.
Be Honest
Be honest with yourself and others and you will get much further than by lying your way through life. Your life will be easier if you are honest from the start. Don’t set yourself up to fail. Start small and then build yourself up.
Work a little harder each day, and you will learn that you are fully capable of being honest with yourself. Stop struggling with who you are and what you may become, and love yourself just as you are. That kind of self-love will support your process of becoming the best version of yourself.
