Caring for your body isn’t just about eating right and exercising (though this is of course important). To ensure that your body is getting the vitamins and minerals it needs, you first need to understand the various types of minerals and vitamins which are most crucial in giving your health that extra boost.

Look for foods and liquids which contain more of these important vitamins and ensure that you’re incorporating them into your daily life wherever possible.

Vitamin D

This is the vitamin many people associate with a healthy dose of sunshine. Allowing sunshine on your skin (safely) and spending more time outdoors increases your vitamin D intake. Nevertheless, being exposed to sunlight isn’t the only way your body can gain access to vitamin D; you can also eat certain foods to increase your vitamin D intake.

This vitamin helps to develop strong bones and support your immune system.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C is a great antioxidant, whose role is to help your body stay protected against infection. Vitamin C is often associated with citrus fruits such as oranges, but there are many other ways you can get your vitamin C intake, such as with green vegetables like spinach.

Due to its benefits for the immune system, vitamin C is also even more essential when you are suffering from cold and flu. Furthermore, vitamin A helps to keep your eyes in healthy, working condition, especially as you age, and for some people can even help to promote healthier-looking skin by reducing the risk of acne or blemishes.

Vitamin A can be found in healthy vegetables like carrots, spinach and broccoli.

GSDs are often sought as guard dogs and protectors. However, while they are first and foremost a herding breed, GSDs can make outstanding, loving family companions. German Shepherds have a rather distinct personality marked by a direct and fearless expression, obvious self-confidence and reluctance to develop indiscriminate friendships. They tend to be indifferent to strangers and can be aloof; however, once they befriend you, their devotion is life-long.
